Night
Life: |
Austin is
well known as the live music capitol of the world. Most
restaurants have live music at least once a week, even coffee houses
and grocery store cafes. All the night life is downtown on
east 6th Street between Congress and I-35. There are also many
clubs and restaurants in the warehouse district on west 4th and 5th
streets between Guadalupe and Congress. Clubs, bars and music
for just about every taste. |
|
Activities: |
There are
many special events throughout the year. The big ones include
SXSW (South By Southwest),
ACL (Austin City Limits Music Festival),
ATT Austin Marathon,
Old Pecan Street Festivals and the bats under Congress Street
bridge.
If your
into poker, try
Lone Star Poker, a free league at several local bars. Play
throughout the month to qualify for bimonthly tournaments for cash
and prizes.
The main
shopping malls are
Barton Creek Square Mall,
Highland Mall, the
Domain and the Arboretum. |

didn't get into a study and didn't bring enough money.
